Romania was "green", increasing by 9 percent compared to the share from the same period last year. But it was not the energy produced from renewable sources (wind and photovoltaic), which decreased, that contributed to this evolution, but the spectacular increase in the production of hydro energy, which increased from 7.6 TWh in the period January-June 2022, to 11 TWh in the first half of this year.
Energy production from renewable sources (solar and wind) fell from 5.2 TWh in the first half of last year to 4.8 TWh in the first two quarters of this year.

Nuclear power production has remained relatively constant, while thermal power production has fallen sharply.
