A recommendation to extend additional restrictions should be expected due to the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the statements of Olga Semeniuk, Deputy Minister of Development, Labor and Technology. Decisions in this matter are to be taken by the Government Crisis Management Team (RZZK).

"We will probably recommend extending the restrictions, or rather the Medical Council will recommend it, because we, as the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology (MRPiT), are for the economy to be widely open. Unfortunately, the numbers that we see today do not indicate a sharp decline, hence I would be more inclined to extend the restrictions already in force, "said Semeniuk on the TOK FM radio.

She made a reservation that "this decision has not yet been made".

"Today [...] another Government Crisis Management Team is taking place, where these decisions will be made" - she added.

From March 20 to April 9, hotels, shopping malls, cinemas, theaters, museums and sports facilities are closed all over the country: swimming pools, tennis courts. Learning for all age groups takes place remotely. From Saturday, the number of people in retail and post offices to 1 person was additionally limited for two weeks on 20 m2, nurseries and kindergartens, hairdressing salons and beauty salons, as well as sports facilities, except for professional sports, were closed.

As a rule, people who come to Poland are still required to undergo a 10-day quarantine (except for travelers from the Schengen area who present a negative coronavirus test result, taken no later than 48 hours).
