NEPI Property takes almost EUR 400 million from IFC

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank's investment arm, is lending EUR 387 million to NEPI Property, a subsidiary of shopping centre developer NEPI Rockcastle, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase energy efficiency in the construction sector in Romania and Bulgaria.

In Romania, the company owns 25 shopping centres, including Bucharest (Mega Mall, Promenada Mall), Sibiu (Shopping City Sibiu, Promenada Sibiu), Timisoara (Shopping City Timisoara), Constanta (City Park Mall Constanta), Targu Mures (Shopping City Targu Mures) and Ploiesti (Ploiesti Shopping City).
