Pam Consult Consortium is planning to build social apartments in Bucharest using unused shipping containers for those who are otherwise unable to afford a place of their own. The five-story, 3,200 sqm building will include 100 two-room, 27 sqm apartments. The units will sell for €12,000. The scheme will have green roofs and built-in systems for rainwater harvesting and energy efficiency. The units will be delivered fully assembled, reducing the construction period.
