Panattoni completes automotive electronics facility for Compal in Czeladź
Panattoni has completed a build-to-own manufacturing facility for Compal Electronics in Czeladź, southern Poland. The 7,650 square metre plant is Compal’s first automotive electronics factory in Europe and is scheduled to begin trial production by the end of 2025.
The facility, located in the Silesian Voivodeship, includes a production hall, warehouse space, research and development areas, testing facilities, and offices. It has been designed to meet the requirements of high-tech manufacturing, including cleanroom standards and the integration of automated production lines. Compal plans to produce electronic control units at the site, with future plans to add advanced driver-assistance systems and sensors for autonomous driving.
The project also incorporates environmental measures such as energy-efficient systems and water-saving solutions. It is expected to obtain BREEAM certification at the Excellent level. The site spans approximately five hectares and has been prepared for potential expansion in line with Compal’s regional growth strategy.
Compal, headquartered in Taiwan, is a Fortune Global 500 company and one of the largest electronics manufacturers globally. Its portfolio includes laptops, displays, tablets, servers, and smart devices, along with a growing focus on automotive components. The Czeladź facility represents the company’s first step in localizing production for European automotive customers.
Panattoni, which has delivered the project, noted that the investment strengthens Silesia’s position as one of Poland’s leading industrial regions and adds capacity for high-tech manufacturing in the country.
