Panattoni has become the official sponsor of Adrian Meronk, Poland’s highest-ranked golfer. The sponsorship is aimed at supporting the international career of the player, as well as promoting golf in Poland – a sport that is played by almost 80 million enthusiasts across the world. This is Panattoni’s latest investment in Polish sport, which has so far included sponsoring football clubs and academies as well as a basketball team.

Golf is one of the world’s most popular sports, both at the professional and recreational level. In some of the largest countries – for example, the United States and Japan – it is played by tens of millions of people, while even the Czech Republic can boast more than 100,000 golfers. Although Poland admittedly has many fewer fans of this sport, each year there has been a 5–10% increase in the number of players – and this is a form of recreation that is increasingly being taken up by entire families.

Panattoni has now become the official sponsor of Adrian Meronk, who is currently one of the leading players on the DP World Tour. He was a competitor at last year’s US Open and at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo; but he is also making a vital contribution to popularising golf in Poland. The company will be sponsoring him until at least the end of March 2023. “Golf will only be able to move forward in this country when people get to know it better, and for this it just needs excellent role models to promote it – players of the calibre of Adrian Meronk, who can compete with the best in the world. We are delighted that our support will allow him to advance his sporting career further, to promote the sport across the country, and to help him take on the world’s best golfers,” comments Robert Dobrzycki, the CEO and co-owner of Panattoni, who adds: “Over the last two years, Adrian Meronk has significantly improved his ranking, having competed in several major tournaments. Golf is a sport in which discipline, strategy and focusing on goals are particularly important. It must be played fairly, but is also regarded as one of the most difficult sports in the world. At Panattoni, we embrace challenges – whether they are in sport or business. That’s why supporting Polish sports personalities who strive to attain major honours is absolutely in line with the company’s philosophy – and also with my personal goals,” explains Robert Dobrzycki.

For Adrian, Panattoni’s support is also a source of great joy and pride: “I am very happy to have the backing of the leader in its field in Poland and Europe. I have a great deal in common with Panattoni – shared characteristics that allow us to be successful in sport or in business. We are both proud to represent Poland through our successes in the international arena. I hope our cooperation will be long-lasting and filled with sporting and business success.”

Keeping our eye on the ball. The sponsorship of Adrian Meronk is not Panattoni's first investment in the domestic sports scene. For the last five years, the developer has been sponsoring the Euro Lider Pruszków women’s basketball team. The company also provides support to a number of football projects – such as the Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała club, as well as two football academies: Akademia BVB im Łukasz Piszczek in Goczałkowice Zdrój and the Widzew Łódź Academy. The developer started supporting Akademia BVB in 2019 and is now its main sponsor. In almost three years, Panattoni’s help has been crucial in rehabilitating football pitches for the club, renovating a recreational zone, constructing new changing rooms, providing biological regeneration and rehabilitation rooms, as well as for the construction of an auxiliary technical building. Panattoni’s association with the Widzew Łódź Academy began at the beginning of 2022. This strategic partnership will allow the club to reach an even higher organisational and sporting level, as well as help it to make progress in the league and achieve further successes, including at the international level.

Charitable activity through activity. As Panattoni has shown over the years, sport is not only about looking after your health, but is also an ideal way of supporting those in need. The company’s employees have taken part several times in the annual Charity Real Estate Beach Volleyball Tournament organised by real estate consultancy JLL. At various meetings of the event, Panattoni’s team has supported, among others, The Children's Memorial Health Institute, Tęcza (The Rainbow Association of Parents and Friends of the Blind and Visually Impaired) and the To Rescue Children with Cancer Foundation. The Panattoni team has also participated each year in a cycle rally as part of the most important real estate fair in Europe – MIPIM. Those that have taken part have covered up to 1,000 km on their bikes to raise money for selected organisations, including the Institut Curie for cancer research and treatment. In addition to all this, at the end of 2020, the company held its own Robomania charity event, to raise funds for UNICEF. The money raised was used in the fight against the coronavirus in such countries as Sudan, Yemen, Niger and Syria.
