Panattoni is providing additional space for Boeing Distribution Services (BDSI) in Poland’s Aviation Valley. The global supplier of aviation solutions is moving its current operations in Aviation Valley to a larger, 3,000 sqm building in Panattoni Park Rzeszów Airport III, neighbouring the city’s airport.

Boeing Distribution Services, the leading global distributor and supplier of aircraft parts and services has leased 3,000 sqm in Panattoni Park Rzeszów Airport III. The park is located at the very centre of Aviation Valley, nearby Rzeszów – Jasionka Airport. Offering a large and modern space, it allows the company to store more than twice as many parts as before, almost 50,000 in total. The customised space allows BDSI to implement advanced and individualized picking and packing processes meeting every customer’s specific requirements. BDSI customers furthermore profit from the fast delivery of parts due to the new site’s proximity to the A4 freeway and the S19 road.

“Sites for the aviation sector need to meet very high storage standards, so the selection of Panattoni to take on such a development is a double honour. Working in this sector is an important step in furthering the development of our company and improving our flexibility, particularly when it is one of the biggest players in the sector that has put its trust in us. The business’s decision to remain in the region is also a mark of the strategic importance of Aviation Valley and of Panattoni’s foresight in developing its project here in this particular place,” says Krzysztof Głut, Leasing Manager of Panattoni.

BDSI counts over 200 Polish military and civil aviation customers profiting from product lines and services such as bins management and kitting solutions. Rafał Stępnowski, Director Government Affairs at Boeing points out: “Poland is one of the fastest-growing locations for Boeing in Europe. BDSI moving to a larger facility demonstrates Boeing’s continued commitment to Poland and to a strong partnership with the Polish economy. Demand for commercial aviation is picking up again and Boeing is growing significantly in-country. The time for strategic industrial investment is now!”

“As a global real estate advisory firm Cushman & Wakefield, we are pleased to have coordinated the Boeing-Panattoni transaction for the lease of warehouse and office space near Rzeszów. This region is one of the emerging warehouse markets in the country and therefore is developing very dynamically. Leading developers and investors recognize its huge potential - Boeing among them." comments Konrad Jacewicz, Associate, Industrial & Logistics Agency, Cushman & Wakefield.

South-eastern Poland with its aviation valley has been a hub for the aviation industry for over 80 years. It is responsible for over 90% of the country’s aircraft production. In addition to the presence of Rzeszów-Jasionka airport, the region is profiting from the know-how brought by specialists graduates from Rzeszów University of Technology and its Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics.

Panattoni’s increasing activity in Rzeszów and its surroundings is excellent news for modern businesses, which have access to platforms tailored to their growth in a region that is developing healthily. Among other things, the developer completed a factory built in just five months to produce AC and DC charging systems for Phoenix Contact E-mobility in the Rzeszów-Dworzysko Science and Technology Park at the end of 2020/beginning of 2021. Panattoni has already supplied a total of 167,000 sqm in the administrative capital of the Subcarpathian region and its surrounding area and has plans to deliver a further 240,000 sqm.

Panattoni Park Rzeszów Airport III is being built nearby Rzeszów – Jasionka Airport. The complex will eventually comprise over 67,000 sqm in three buildings. The first two with a combined area of 33,000 sqm are to be delivered in the third quarter this year. The project offers the highest quality and is to be customised to meet the needs of tenants from various industries, from logistics and production to e-commerce. The centre is to be certified under BREEAM and will be equipped with various energy- and water-saving solutions as well as systems to preserve biodiversity and promote well-being.
