46% of employees, mainly women, experience greater stress than before the pandemic, and the fears are heightened by the uncertain economic situation, according to the Personnel Service "Polish Labor Market Barometer". Almost every fifth Pole believes that his position on the labor market is worse than the year before.

"Last year, the labor market changed 180 degrees. Many of its elements will never be the same again. Mass remote work, greater use of technology, but also constant uncertainty meant that we are now dealing with increased levels of stress on employees. Employers, whose task will be to support employees in coping with stress, will have to deal with. One of the ways is to provide them with psychological support as one of the benefits. this much more than, for example, sports cards, especially since the gyms were closed "- said Krzysztof Inglot, President of Personnel Service,.

In the "Polish Labor Market Barometer", the Personnel Service, when asked about increased stress at work, 46% of employees admitted that they had been dealing with this phenomenon since the outbreak of the pandemic. Women are more exposed to it - 54% of them are more stressed when carrying out their duties, for men this percentage is 38%.

There are at least a few reasons for greater stress: remote work introduced at an express pace, combining professional and private duties in one space, often the need to coordinate remote learning for children, and finally the constant stress related to the pandemic itself. All these elements make it more difficult for employees to And this rest is lacking now more than ever. Especially since the labor market is still uncertain. Many market sectors are still facing the introduced restrictions and are waiting for reopening. Therefore, almost every fifth Pole believes that his professional situation in this year will be worse than a year ago. Almost half of them believe that nothing will change compared to 2020, and only 7% of employees look at the next months with hope for improvement.

Persisting economic uncertainty is the greatest source of stress for workers. However, the situation in their companies does not cause stress. Almost 7 out of 10 Poles say that their employer coped well or very well with running a business during the pandemic. Every fifth employee claims that the company did poorly or very poorly.
