Pesa, the prominent Polish rail vehicle manufacturer, has officially entered into a strategic partnership with Talgo, the renowned Spanish producer of high-speed trains, to collaborate on the development of high-speed rail infrastructure in Poland. The agreement, signed by Talgo’s President Carlos Palacio and Pesa’s President Krzysztof Zdziarski, outlines cooperation across three key business areas: preparing a bid for upcoming high-speed rolling stock orders in Poland, offering solutions for future high-speed rail projects in neighboring markets, and exploring other joint railway ventures.

“We have been working on the development of high-speed rail for several years, and Talgo’s expertise complements ours perfectly. Together, we can offer a solution that meets the needs of carriers in Poland and the broader Three Seas region,” said Zdziarski.

Talgo President Palacio also expressed enthusiasm, stating, “Pesa is a recognized manufacturer in Poland with experience and knowledge of the local market. We are eager to present Talgo’s cutting-edge high-speed platforms such as Avril, currently operating in Spain, as well as the Intercity 230, soon to be implemented in Denmark and Germany.”

The partnership signifies a new chapter in Poland’s high-speed rail ambitions, with plans to advance the country’s infrastructure significantly by 2025.

Talgo is a global leader in high-speed and intercity train production, with operations spanning across Spain, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and the United States. Pesa Bydgoszcz, on the other hand, is Poland’s leading rail vehicle manufacturer, known for producing, modernizing, and maintaining a variety of rail stock across Europe.
