Poland: 2,840 customers have changed their electricity supplier in August

2.840 customers have changed their electricity supplier in August 2021, the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) reported. Since the beginning of 2021, over 26,000 have made such a change. In further analysis: over 20,000 individual clients and almost 6,000 businesses.

In August this year, a total of 2,844 customers changed their electricity supplier: 2,511 among individual customers (G group) and 333 among business customers. This means that in the second month of summer holidays, customers from G groups made more than twice as many changes as in July this year. (then there were 1,240 of them), it was announced.

Since 2007, the electricity supplier in Poland has been changed by a total of 933,000. In further analysis: 711,000 in tariff groups G and 222,000 in A, B and C tariff groups, it is also indicated.

Over 37% of household customers in Poland (over 5.8 million) use free-market offers, i.e. those that are not subject to approval by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office.
