Poland's state budget deficit reaches PLN 69.91 Billion by June, meeting 38% of annual plan

According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Finance, Poland’s state budget recorded a deficit of PLN 69.91 billion by the end of June, representing 38% of the planned deficit for the entire year. This marks an increase from the PLN 53.1 billion deficit reported at the end of May.

The Ministry’s statement detailed that by June 2024, state budget revenues had reached PLN 303.88 billion, equating to 44.5% of the annual plan, while expenditures amounted to PLN 373.97 billion, or 43.1% of the planned spend.

The 2024 budget law anticipates total state budget revenues of PLN 68.38 billion, with a spending cap set at PLN 866.38 billion and a maximum budget deficit of PLN 184 billion.
