Popasul Trebeş, a company part of the Pambac Bacău group, controlled by businessman Eusebiu Guţu, plans to invest EUR 30 million over the next five years in the Slobozia chemical plant, which it recently bought from Chemgas Holding, a company being in liquidation.

"Popasul Trebeş intends to carry out an investment program both in terms of the plant's infrastructure and production facilities to increase the quality of goods, streamline production and protect the environment," said Eusebiu Guţu, the administrator of Popasul Trebeş. "We want to take over the approximately 600 employees of the plant and start the production activity as soon as possible," he added.
