Popeyes continues its expansion in Romania

The American chain of fast-food restaurants Popeyes will open a new restaurant outside Bucharest next month in Romania. The new restaurant will be located in the food court area of the ElectroPutere Mall in Craiova.

The expansion of Popeyes outside the Capital is part of a more ambitious plan of the company to expand in more areas and cities in Romania. In September 2023, the Polish quick-service restaurant platform Rex Concepts, through which the Polish investment firm McWin, the new Burger King franchisee in Poland, will develop the Burger King and Popeyes brands in several markets in Eastern Europe, acquired the current operator Popeyes from Romania and becomes the exclusive Principal Franchisee of the brand.
