Portland Trust, one of the largest developers of office buildings in Romania, has been authorized to build its first data center, on land bought from Broadhurst Investments, in the Preciziei area of Bucharest.

The project aims to build a data center in a two-story building with a built-up floor area of approximately 20,000 sqm and a maximum unfolded area of over 137,000 sqm, surrounded by 261 parking spaces.

The planned area of the future data center is much larger than the project previously thought of by Portland Trust on the site of the former production hall of the state company ICEMENERG in the Vitan district.

In its endeavors, the Portland Trust is financially supported by the American fund Ares Management Corporation.
