Prices of sold production in Polish industry sector down 1.2%

Poland’s prices of sold production in the industry sector decreased by 1.2 percent y-o-y and by 0.3 percent from what was reported in July, according to preliminary data published by Statistics Poland (GUS). Prices fell by 0.3 percent in the manufacturing sector. The deepest price drop was reported in the manufacturing of beverages (down by 1.1 percent). Prices also decreased in the manufacturing of coke and refined petroleum products by 0.8 percent as well as textiles and basic metals by 0.7 percent each. The manufacturing of tobacco products as well as other transport equipment fell by 0.6 percent each. Paper and paper product manufacturing dropped by 0.5 percent, while the manufacturing of food products, pharmaceutical products, metal products, motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers dropped by 0.4 percent each, according to Statistics Poland.
