Prime Batteries Technology to complete expansion of Cernica factory
Prime Batteries Technology, which has developed a battery factory in Cernica, near Bucharest, announces that it is very close to completing the investment that will increase production capacity to 2,000 MWh per year. The next expansion phase aims for a capacity of 6,000 MWh per year.
“This ambitious project, located near Bucharest, is progressing rapidly. From an initial vision to a nearly complete facility, the Gigafactory represents a significant step forward in energy storage, offering a capacity of 2 GWh that will provide sustainable energy solutions for both industrial and residential use,” Prime Batteries Technology said.
“Now entering the final phase before completion, the factory will be equipped with innovative assembly lines, precision testing systems and high-capacity management units. Each advancement marks a step towards providing efficient, reliable and scalable energy storage options, reaffirming PRIME Batteries’ dedication to a sustainable future,” the company added.
“The factory is 98% ready, the equipment has arrived, in November we will finish assembling it. We are starting production this year. We are starting production, not at full capacity, because every factory has a rhythm until it gets there. The official inauguration will be somewhere in April-May,” said one of the founders of Prime Batteries, Adrian Polec.
