Redkom Development has successfully sold Ozimska Park, a retail park boasting 17,000 square meters of gross leasable area (GLA), which was completed in November 2023. The new owner, Newgate Investment, is actively expanding its portfolio of retail properties, which now includes 33 projects across various Polish cities.

This marks the third retail property transaction for Redkom Development in 2024. Earlier this year, the company sold Park Glinianka, a facility with over 10,000 square meters of GLA, located in Łubna near Warsaw, which opened in March 2023. The park, now known as BIG Łubna, has been added to the BIG Poland group’s portfolio. Additionally, Redkom Development has sold another retail park currently under construction in Bielsko-Biała, Comfy Park Bielsko, which will also feature over 17,000 square meters of GLA upon its anticipated opening later this year.

Łukasz Komierowski, CEO of Redkom Development, expressed pride in the transformation represented by Ozimska Park. “As an active developer, Redkom is dedicated to creating unique and substantial retail parks. Ozimska Park aligns with our strategy not only in scale but also in environmental protection and urban integration. It exemplifies the successful conversion of an outdated retail facility into a modern retail park. In 2023, we delivered 27,000 square meters of GLA, and with Park Bielik in Bielsko-Biała set to open this year, we will total around 45,000 square meters of GLA over these two years. We are pleased that another facility from our portfolio has found a home with Newgate Investment, ensuring that our tenants and their businesses remain with a capable and attentive partner for years to come.”

Krystian Modrzejewski, Chief Investment Officer at Newgate Investment, highlighted the significance of acquiring Ozimska Park. “This is another prime commercial property we are adding to our portfolio. Ozimska Park in Opole houses shops from well-known brands that local residents cannot find anywhere else in the city or the surrounding region, including Woolworth, Dealz, and Jula supermarket. Our facilities provide significant value to the city and its residents, as well as for tenants and investors by offering an exceptional retail and service experience.”

Recognized for its architectural design, Ozimska Park was awarded in the European Property Awards 2023 in the Commercial Renovation/Redevelopment category for Poland. The development, which involved the redevelopment of the former Galeria Ozimska adjacent to a Tesco store, is noted for its environmental sustainability, helping to reduce its carbon footprint.

The retail park accommodates 28 outlets, including a Kaufland grocery store, and features a secure rest and entertainment area with restaurants, benches, and trampolines. Its unique tenant mix, free parking for nearly 500 vehicles, and an electric vehicle charging station have quickly established Ozimska Park as a popular shopping destination in Opole.

Tenant List:
Kaufland, Przyjazna Apteka, TEDi, Rossmann, Pepco, Sinsay, Inmedio, Itaka, Kodano Optyk, Piekarnia Hert, Vive Profit, Media Expert, Xtreme Fitness Gyms, Żabka, Euronet, InPost, Orange, and restaurants including Kuchenne Klimaty, Sphinx, and Popolo Pizza&Pasta. Unique to Ozimska Park in Opole are: Woolworth, Dealz, Verona, Jula, Carry, Tilia, and NKD.
