The Redstone development group has started construction of a private nursing home in Olomouc aimed at long-term nursing care, especially for patients in recovery, after surgeries, injuries and serious illnesses. The facility will have a capacity of 120 beds and will be operated by the company Senatorium Olomouc from the PHF Senatorium group, announced Petr Hlávka, spokesman for the Redstone Group. The company did not disclose the amount of the investment.

The sanatorium will be located in the Neředín district of Olomouc. "In a strategic location near the Olomouc University Hospital, a five-storey building will be built to respond to the insufficient capacity of long-term care beds for the long-term sick in the Olomouc Region. The facility will be called Senatorium and will specialize in the clientele of mainly seniors. In addition to the possibility of above-standard nursing care, they can use the services of a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, activation workers or nutritional therapist," said Hlávka.

The nearest sanatorium that patients can use is now more than 40 kilometres from Olomouc, said Aleš Kotásek of the PHF Senatorium group.

The medical and nursing services provided will be covered by public health insurance. Additional services will be paid by the patient for each individual day of stay. "We strive to offer patients care that will be tailored to their individual requirements. The erudite medical staff that will be working here will use, among other things, the experience from the facilities we already operate in Brno, Ostrava, Frýdek-Místek and Vestec near Prague," Kotásek added.

The Redstone development group, owned by entrepreneur Richard Morávek, increased its balance sheet total by 29 percent to CZK 5.249 billion in 2022 thanks to the addition of fixed assets. Redstone is targeting its development activities mainly in Prague, Olomouc and Pardubice. For example, the group is currently building the East Park Olomouc logistics and warehousing centre, which may include up to seven separate halls with production or warehousing operations. In Olomouc, Redstone recently completed the construction of the Envelopa Office Center, an office building with six floors above ground.
