Registered unemployment rate stood in Poland at 4.8% in September

The registered unemployment rate amounted to 4.8% in September this year, informed the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg. According to the data of the ministry, there were about 803,000 unemployed registered labor offices.

"Historically the lowest unemployment in 32 years. Not only has the unemployment rate dropped, but the number of unemployed has decreased. We currently have 803,000 unemployed people, which is less than a month ago, despite the fact that seasonal work is actually ending," said Maląg in TVP Info.

"I look at this unemployment with such moderate optimism," she added.

She reminded that the draft budget act for 2023 assumed the registered unemployment rate at the level of 5.4% at the end of next year.

According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), the registered unemployment rate amounted to 4.8% at the end of August this year, i.e. it fell by 0.1 percentage point. from July this year. The number of registered unemployed at the end of August 2022 amounted to 806.9 thousand. against 810.2 thous. a month earlier and compared to 960.8 thousand. a year ago.
