RetuRO is building 4,400 sqm regional centre in Timis County

RetuRO, the administrator of the Return Guarantee System (RGS) in Romania, is building its second regional centre in Giarmata, Timiș county, where the beverage packaging included in the RGS will be managed.

The plant will be set up in a logistics area of approximately 4,400 sqm within the Global Vision industrial park. Construction of the centre is due to be completed in February 2024 and the packaging sorting and counting equipment is to be supplied and installed by Anker Andersen A/S of Denmark.

"The construction and fitting out of the new plant in Giarmata is another significant step in the realisation of our vision for a cleaner Romania. With the preparation of these regional industrial centres, we have also started an important component of our development plan - the recruitment campaign for all 17 national centres. We have a very ambitious target - around 600 employees, of which at least 500 will be part of the sorting and counting centres across the country," says Gemma Webb, CEO and Chairman of the RetuRO Board.
