In the first three months of 2022, on the Romanian investment market, transactions were concluded with a total volume of EUR 68 million, 31 percent less than the same period in 2021, according to CBRE Romania data.

Analyzing by sectors, the properties in the office and retail segments were the two types of properties for which investors managed to sign transactions in the first quarter of the year. Office property continues to generate the largest volume of investment, accounting for 77 percent of the total amount traded.

"Despite recent challenges, the market is very solid, only in CBRE Romania, for example, there are transactions of over EUR 1 billion in advanced stages of negotiations, with real prospects of completion in 2022," said Mihai Patrulescu, Head of Investment Properties, CBRE Romania.
