Romanian construction volume increased in April by 16.2% year/year

The volume of construction works increased in April by 16.2 percent, compared to the similar period in 2023, according to the data of the National Institute of Statistics.
On structural elements, there were increases in maintenance and current repair works (plus 30.3 percent), capital repair works (plus 14.9 percent) and new construction works (plus 11.8 percent).

Compared to March 2024, the volume of construction works increased by 10.3 percent, an increase highlighted in maintenance and current repair works (plus 28.1 percent), capital repair works (plus 13.0 percent) and in new constructions (plus 4.3 percent).

On construction objects, there were increases as follows: non-residential buildings (plus 15.6 percent), residential buildings (plus 15.3 percent) and engineering construction works (plus 5.5 percent).
