Romanian Post to sell buildings and land to local authorities
The Romanian Post (Poșta Română) will be allowed to sell some of its reȘtefanate assets, including buildings and land, directly to local municipalities. These properties, which are privately owned by the company, are located across various administrative-territorial units in the country.
The move targets properties that are either no longer in use or are no longer suitable for the company’s current operational needs. Municipalities acquiring these assets will be able to repurpose them to support local infrastructure development.
The selling price for each property will be determined based on a valuation report conducted in accordance with the standards set by the National Association of Authorized Valuers in Romania.
Earlier this year, in February, Romanian Post General Director Valentin Ștefan announced plans to lease the company’s headquarters for €60,000 per month, part of broader efforts to manage and optimize the company’s real estate portfolio.
