Rus Savitar invests €5.2m in furniture factory expansion

The Romanian furniture manufacturer Rus Savitar has begun work on expanding and modernizing its furniture factory near Timisoara, a €5.2m investment. Some €1.7m will come from EU funds, announced the company. The investment will allow the manufacturer to quintuple its production capacity to reach 10,000 upholstered furniture products per month.

The company started its activity in 1994 as a furniture retailer, quickly becoming one of the biggest furniture importers and dealers in Romania. Rus Savitar also runs a retail network of some 11 stores under the Casa Rusu brand.
