Sberbank CZ offers IT equipment, safes, air conditioners and furniture for sale
Jiřina Lužová, the insolvency administrator of bankrupt Sberbank CZ, announced today the launch of a tender procedure for the sale of another part of the bank's tangible movable assets. The subject of the bid are IT equipment, furniture from the sales kiosk, safes and air conditioners from the bank's branches. The administrator expects the sale to be settled by the end of May 2024, said Lužová today.
According to her, bidders can submit a price offer for the whole, product packages or individual pieces. An overview of the assets to be sold, including the method and conditions for expressing interest in the tender, is available on the bank's website. Potential bidders for the purchase of tangible assets must express their interest in participating in the tender procedure.
The Prague City Court declared bankruptcy on Sberbank CZ at the end of August last year. The CNB finally revoked its banking licence in early May and the Prague City Court then sent the bank into liquidation. The CNB initiated the steps to revoke the licence on 28 February 2022. The reason for this was the deterioration of Sberbank CZ's situation due to the outflow of deposits after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Komerční banka started paying out the claims of Sberbank CZ creditors through its branches and online on 18 March this year. The payout will last until 15 April this year. In all cases, the payout will be cashless, with the bank sending the money to an account held in the Czech Republic, exclusively in Czech crowns. Creditors, of which there are over 15,000, should receive around CZK 57 billion.
