Sekura Cabins Opens New Factory in Brașov with €1.8 Million Investment
Sekura Cabins Group has opened a new manufacturing facility in Brașov, Romania, marking its first site outside Denmark. The €1.8 million investment is intended to expand the company’s European production capacity and strengthen its supply chain for modular cabins used in industries such as agriculture, forestry, mining, construction, logistics, and automotive.
The factory is located in VGP Park Brașov on approximately 2,000 square metres of space. It is expected to employ 50 people by the end of 2026 and will initially focus on producing sheet metal components and welded sub-assemblies for Sekura’s main plant in Randers, Denmark. Future plans include adding production of tube components and small cabin frames.
Founded in Denmark more than 65 years ago, Sekura Cabins develops and manufactures space-frame cabins designed for operator safety and comfort in demanding environments. The company reports annual turnover of about €50 million and currently employs around 175 people at its Randers site, which remains its core hub for design and production. The new Romanian facility complements that plant by handling parts manufacturing while Randers continues to oversee integrated cabin assembly.
The Brașov factory is part of a broader turnaround strategy led by Sekura’s current management, following a €20 million investment in the Randers plant in 2021. The Romanian site was developed in partnership with VGP, which owns and manages the park. Building B of VGP Park Brașov, where the factory is located, is certified BREEAM Outstanding and complies with EU Taxonomy standards for sustainable construction.
With operations now in both Denmark and Romania, Sekura Cabins says it is positioned to serve key European markets including Germany, Finland, Sweden, and the Netherlands more efficiently. The company is jointly owned by the Dutch investment funds Standard Investment NL and Foreman Capital NL.
