Sonar Real Estate leases office space at THE SQUAIRE in Frankfurt

Sonar Real Estate has secured a lease agreement for office space at THE SQUAIRE, a commercial property at Frankfurt Airport. Lagardère Travel Retail Deutschland GmbH will occupy approximately 1,317 square metres on Level 8. Sonar manages the asset on behalf of the property owner, an international investor.

Lagardère Travel Retail, which operates retail and hospitality concepts in transport hubs, will move in after refurbishment work is completed.

THE SQUAIRE is a mixed-use building with approximately 140,000 square metres of rental space. It comprises office space (65%), hotels (30%), and retail and hospitality areas (5%). Existing tenants include KPMG, Michelin, Atos, Porsche, Hilton, and Nemak. The property is connected to Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal 1 via a pedestrian walkway and has direct access to the long-distance ICE railway station, the A3 motorway, and the B43 federal highway.

Legal advisory for the landlord was provided by FPS Rechtsanwälte. Architectural and technical aspects were handled by Ninic Architects and Drees & Sommer. PROKS Real Estate and Schier Real Estate represented the property owner in the lease transaction, while JLL advised the tenant.
