Many of the 3,000 beaches in Spain will open to the public from May 25, as a large part of the country's coastal provinces begins the second phase of loosening restrictions. While they will be opened to visitors, there will be enforced places of entry and exits, the capacity of the beaches will be limited and groups of bathers will not be allowed within two meters of each other.

Each municipality will be able to adjust the rules to be followed as they see fit, but all will be expected to equip staff with masks and gloves and extra attention must be paid to the disinfecting of public areas like changing rooms and showers.
