Spanish group Ecoener Announces its First Wind Farm in Romania

Spanish group Ecoener, specializing in renewable energy projects, is building its first wind farm in Romania in Iași County, an investment of EUR 85 million, for which it obtained a subsidy from the state.

The wind farm will be located in the town of Miroslovești and will have an installed capacity of 54.4 MW and a total annual production estimated at 166 GWh. It is Ecoener's first project in the European Union, outside of Spain.

According to the company, construction will start soon, with the farm expected to enter into operation in 2027. The total investment is estimated at approximately EUR 85 million.
The Spanish company entered the Romanian renewable energy market at the beginning of the year, with the photovoltaic park in Lucieni, Dâmbovița County.
