Sphera Franchise Group close 12 Pizza Hut restaurants in Romania

Sphera Franchise Group, the company that operates the KFC, Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut Delivery and Taco Bell chains in Romania, has closed 12 Pizza Hut restaurants on the local market.

The company achieved restaurant revenues of RON 1.47 billion last year, up 11.36 percent from RON 1.32 billion in 2022. The loss is because of KFC restaurants, where sales amounted to RON 1, 27 billion.

However, the company still has, in Bucharest, 18 restaurants with delivery and pick-up, including 11 with indoor service. Sphera's total assets on December 31, 2023 were RON 698.26 million, down 1.08 percent compared to RON 705.88 million at the end of the previous year.
