Szczecin’s first Popeyes restaurant with drive-thru to open in MMG Retail Park

Master Management Group will build a Popeyes restaurant at the retail park MMG in Szczecin. The facility of the popular American chain serving chicken dishes will serve drivers without them having to leave their cars. Construction work will begin this summer.

The MMG retail park in Szczecin is a popular shopping destination for the region's residents, located on the busiest entrance route to the city. It is visited by more than 1.4 million customers each year, and occupancy levels at the facility have reached 100 per cent for years.

"The Popeyes restaurant will be a great addition to the retail park's offer and a meeting place for residents. I am convinced that visits to the restaurant will positively on generating even better attendance and turnover for all tenants at the facility managed by Master Management Group. We will be starting construction soon." - says Anna Polak, Head of Leasing MMG.

The company already has a valid building permit and is completing the procedure for selecting a general contractor for the works. The Popeyes restaurant will be a free-standing building in the immediate vicinity of the MMG retail park in Szczecin. It will be built on the car park in front of the facility, at the entrance from ul Struga. It will cover an area of 300 sq.m. and, in addition to the traditional room for consumption, it will also serve drivers in the Drive Thru formula.

"Szczecin was the second city after Wrocław where we opened our second restaurant in Poland in July 2023. The locals gave us a warm (and crowded) welcome and we will always have a fondness for the place. We are even more excited to offer Szczecinians a new format - this time a drive-thru restaurant, where we will make ourselves known to a different customer segment and present our new side as a brand. We still have a few important steps ahead of us, but we are already looking forward to the opening," says Kamila Węcka, Marketing Manager PL Popeyes.

Popeyes is an American restaurant chain that was founded over 50 years ago in New Orleans Louisiana, and today is present in 4,500 locations worldwide. It made its debut in Poland only a year ago. It is famous for serving dishes with breaded chicken in the main role, marinated in distinctive Cajun spices native to Louisiana.

The brand's restaurant in Szczecin will be the third in the city, but the first to serve drivers, which is likely to appeal not only to visitors to the retail park, but also to motorists driving along the popular national road 10, where the facility is located.

The MMG retail park in Szczecin is located in the south-eastern part of the city, forming part of one of the most popular shopping areas in and around Szczecin. It is a facility known for its wide range of home furnishings and renovation shops (Jula, Pan Materac, Abra, Flügger, Nexterio), as well as electronics - Media Markt, sports - Decathlon and the Aldi grocery store. The retail park also offers a Fun Jump trampoline park and the non-food discount store Action. There is also an automatic car wash on site. The MMG Retail Park in Szczecin can be reached by city buses and by car. The car park there has space for more than 400 cars.

The area of the MMG retail park in Szczecin is 14,200 square metres. The facility is managed by is managed by Master Management Group.
