Ovidiu Dranga, the ambassador of Romania in Tokyo, met in January of this year with the representatives of Tamura Corporation and they discussed the future investment in Romania and the potential of the Romanian economy to attract investments from Japan.

Tamura Corporation, one of the largest manufacturers of electronic components in Japan, will build a new battery factory in Feteşti, in Ialomiţa county. The first phase of the investment is valued at EUR 10 million, and the second one is estimated at EUR 7 million. The accumulators produced by Tamura will be delivered to the Makita factory in Brăneşti, Ilfov, where electric tools are produced by the Japanese company.
