By the end of 2022, Tattersall Lorenz Immobilienmanagement GmbH (Tattersall Lorenz) was responsible for the property management of around 5,203,062 sq m of commercial space across Germany. This includes some 2,636,466 sq m of logistics space and 1,946,622 sq m of offices. There was also around 165,162 sq m of hotel accommodation, 435,784 sq m of retail space, 7,877 sq m of healthcare and 13,149 sq m of residential space.

Overall, the company, which won the Brand Award in the "Property Manager" category of the European Real Estate Brand Institute for the first time in 2022, was responsible for the property management of 563 properties in 242 different locations. The total annual rental income amounted to EUR 438,992,721.

To take account of the high volume of instructions and to guarantee quality, Tattersall Lorenz increased its staff numbers from 170 to 198 over the past year. These professionals work for the company and its clients in offices in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart. The expiration of the Mileway instruction at the end of 2022 has freed up additional capacity for potential future clients.

The increase in staff numbers led to the company moving into new and larger offices in Leipzig, Nuremberg and Stuttgart. Tattersall Lorenz is committed to promoting young talent: the company currently employs 14 sandwich-course students, trainees and apprentices.

Susanne Tattersall, managing partner of Tattersall-Lorenz, comments: "The past year was the 25th in the history of our company. As an owner-managed SME company, we are very proud to have been successful in the market for such a long period. Not only that: in Bell Consultants' 'Property Management Report 2022', for the second year in a row Tattersall Lorenz was named the strongest brand among German property managers. We see this as confirmation of the high quality of our work. However, we are not resting on our laurels and have already charted an important course for the future. For example, the Cash Management division has been newly established, under the leadership of Gregor Karolczyk. This department now provides a central point of contact for all staff for matters relating to banking, accounts, powers of attorney, payment transactions and deposits, making workflows even more efficient."

In the area of digital infrastructure, after the successful implementation of the Cloudbrixx software in 2021, last year the connection of further service providers for a variety of instructions was achieved, with the introduction of new functions - including audit pilot, new list layouts and extended reporting functions.

Tattersall Lorenz has also installed ESG & Sustainability Management. The objective is to advance and strengthen the professional implementation of ESG criteria in-house as well as with partners and clients. Above and beyond the environmental aspects, this includes issues of diversity, responsible corporate governance and social commitment, in which Tattersall Lorenz was strongly involved in 2022. For example, the firm sponsored the kits of the Berlin TSC 1st women's handball team and donated funding to people in need in Ukraine, while the company's sandwich course students and trainees took part in the Berlin Environmental and Social Project Week. The Christmas fundraising campaign "Christmas in a Shoebox" was also a resounding success throughout the company.

Following the successful first certification in 2019, the main assessment for ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 27001 (information security) was once again completed in 2022.

In 2023, Tattersall Lorenz will focus not just on the high-quality execution of existing instructions and attracting new clients, but also on the further expansion of digitalisation in the company. Together with the members of the BAMBI - Circle of Real Estate, an association of 29 investment houses and property management companies, the further implementation of a jointly developed service specification for the industry is also on the agenda. The aim is to advance the continuing professionalisation of the real estate industry in Germany in general and in the property management sector in particular.
