TeraPlast Bistrita closes Q1/2024 with business of RON 177 million

The manufacturer of construction materials TeraPlast Bistrita recorded business of RON 176.8 million in the first quarter of 2024, up 20 percent year/year, and reduced its loss to RON 2.5 million from RON 2, 6 million in Q1/2023.

Sales outside Romania increased by 32 percent and represent 17 percent of the consolidated turnover obtained by Teraplast in Q1/2024. The Group's products reach 22 countries in Europe, mainly in Hungary, the Republic of Moldova and Germany.

At the same time, the start of production in the Opal stretch film factory and the integration of the activity of the Palplast company from the Republic of Moldova, recently acquired by the group, made positive contributions to the Group's results.

The company is 46.8 percent controlled by businessman Dorel Goia. Private pension funds Pilon II are also part of the shareholders.
