The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Bucharest owned by the Lebanese family Sarieddine has been closed. This was one of the 4 hotels that operated under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand in the country and the only one in Bucharest.

"Due to the pandemic and other issues, such as increased operating costs by 30 percent, plus tensions on the Romanian border and the lack of understanding of our major financial partner BRD Groupe Societe Generale, we had to make a tough decision," said representatives the hotel.

Also, the DoubleTree by Hilton Oradea Hotel will be put up for sale due to the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic, but also due to the acute shortage of qualified personnel and the increase of operating costs.
