The government approved a project on the approval of the implementation norms of the "New Home" program that will continue in 2025. For this year, the guarantee ceiling will be RON 500 million. For homes with a price of up to EUR 70,000, the down payment is 5%. For homes with prices between EUR 70,000 and 140,000, the maximum loan amount can reach EUR 119,000, with a 15% down payment from the beneficiary.

The “New Home” program is intended to support individuals who want to purchase a home but who are facing difficulties in saving the down payment required for a standard mortgage loan. In particular, the program targets young people who are purchasing a home for the first time and who generally have greater difficulties in accessing and sustaining a mortgage loan.

To benefit from the “New Home” 2025 program, applicants must meet a series of conditions: Not owning a home or owning one with a useful area of less than 50 square meters. To select a home that falls within the price limits established by the program. To contact and submit the necessary documentation to a financial institution participating in the “New Home” program. The bank will evaluate the application and, if approved, the file will be sent to the National Fund for Guaranteeing Credits for SMEs for validation.
