Vlad Voiculescu, the Minister of Health, and his right hand man, Andreea Moldovan, were dismissed by Prime Minister Florin Cîţu. According to Cîţu, the interim position will be provided by Dan Barna, until the appointment of a new minister to lead the Ministry of Health.

According to market sources, the revocation was requested after the order was issued by the former Minister of Health to change the quarantine rules. The order introduces new criteria for the quarantine of localities, respectively the level of testing for COVID, the incidence rate and the degree of occupancy of hospital beds and ATI departments. Prime Minister Florin Cîţu would not have given his consent by order.
