The Politehnica University of Bucharest will build a student campus with full funding from the state. Thus, the total value of the project is EUR 24.4 million, and the money comes from the Ministry of Public Works, Development and Administration through the National Investment Company.

"We built the first new dormitory after 1980 and now a second new dormitory of the Politehnica University will be built. We have over 33,000 students, and of these 16,000 students are accommodated in the University campus. We almost have a city, one that needs investments," said Mihnea Costoiu, rector of the Politehnica University of Bucharest.

The new campus with ten floors and 350 rooms, will be located in the Regie area and will offer 700 accommodation places for UPB students and will be completed within 24 months.
