Skanska has merged its Czech and Hungarian commercial developments units and placed Alexandra Tomášková in charge of it. Tomášková was named Managing Director of the Czech business in 2018 but has now been made Executive Vice President Operations Hungary & Czech Republic. The move is part of an effort to strengthen the company's strategic focus on customers and to establish a regional business value creation hub. This includes centralizing the organization on a regional level by creating Executive Vice Presidents positions to oversee business operations. Katarzyna Zawodna-Bijoch is President and CEO for Skanska's commercial development business unit in CEE.

"I see the merger of the two countries into one business unit as a great opportunity," said Tomášková. "Of course, we want to continue with good business in both countries, but we also plan to take the best out of both and create a single, successful unit that will use the potential, talent and knowledge it certainly has within its ranks."
