The national electricity transmission company, Transelectrica, has budgeted for 2021 its total revenues of RON 2.3 billion, a level similar to that achieved in 2020, and expenditures of RON 2.29 billion lei, increasing by almost 4 percent , as a result of the increase in purchase prices for electricity, inventory costs and the estimated need for system technology services.

The company estimates for this year an amount of electricity delivered to consumers of 55,140,000 MWh, higher by 1,290,589 MWh than the amount achieved in 2020.

"The energy sector has fully felt the impact of the coronavirus crisis, especially in the first part of 2020. As a result of the economic effects generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the amount of electricity delivered to consumers was reduced in 2020. In 2021 we see an increase in the amount of electricity delivered to consumers, amid the gradual recovery of the economy ", it is shown in the company's announcement.
