Private equity investment fund Mada Global Fund For Income Opportunities, which operates under the regulations of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) financial regulators, plans to enter the Polish soccer market and finalize an acquisition of a soccer club in the coming weeks. The fund has been closely watching Polish soccer clubs for more than a year and analyzing opportunities to operate in both the Ekstraklasa and the I-League, the fund reported.

With a potential acquisition in mind, Mada Global has created a wholly owned company, Football Culture Poland, in Warsaw, with Paolo Urfer as CEO. He also serves as project manager and lead investor for the fund, it stated.

"All the clubs we are talking to are showing us great interest, so this will not be an easy decision to make. Timing will be key - we want to close the deal in the coming weeks so we can start preparing the team with the next 2023/2024 season in mind," said CEO Paolo Urfer.

The fund stressed that its position as a trusted financial institution in the UAE means that the fund's entry into the world of Polish soccer will be carried out with the highest standards and professionalism, as well as with the goal of creating long-term value and providing support to the local community and reasons for fans to be proud.
