Vapiano is set to enter the Czech market. The German restaurant chain wants to offer Italian cuisine to its Czech clientele. The Slovak company Bencik Culinary Group will operate the restaurants through franchises. It plans to open five restaurants in the Czech Republic and five in Slovakia over the next two years. Vapiano’s concept involves having meals prepared directly in front of the customer, and giving them a say in the process. Bencik Culinary Group plans to target attractive locations with high footfall in Prague and Bratislava. It is reportedly in negotiations to open at Centrum Chodov or Nový Smíchov shopping centers in Prague, writes ihned.cz.
