Real estate developer Vastint Romania is planning a mixed urban regeneration project on the site of the former Dîmbovița shoe factory, which is to be demolished.

Vastint Romania has accumulated, through multiple transactions, several plots of land with a total area of almost 2 hectares. The transactions were carried out at a cumulative value of around EUR 22 million. Since last year, the new owner has started the steps to demolish 18 existing buildings on part of these lands, and recently announced his intention to demolish 3 other dilapidated buildings that were part of the former factory Dâmbovița footwear.

"The buildings on the Vastint property are, for the moment, in a process of securing and sanitizing. Vastint Romania aims to develop a mixed urban regeneration project that is sustainable and harmoniously integrates into the respective area and the local community, in full accordance with its needs. We will publish more details about this project in due time, once we finalize our plans and get all the necessary approvals," said Vastint Romania representatives.
