Volume of construction works increased by 12.5% in the first nine months

The volume of construction works increased by 12.5 percent in the first nine months compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the National Institute of Statistics.

By structural elements, increases occurred in capital repair works (+22.7 percent), new construction works (+13.1 percent) and maintenance and current repairs (+7 percent). By construction object, there were increases in engineering construction (+32.4 percent) and non-residential buildings (+1.2 percent). In contrast, work on residential buildings decreased by 7.2 percent.

In September 2023 compared to August 2023, the volume of construction work decreased by 0.1 percent, with decreases evident in current maintenance and repair work and new construction work. Capital repair work increased by 2.7 percent .By construction object, decreases occurred in engineering construction and residential buildings. In contrast, non-residential buildings increased by 2.5 percent.
