Všeobecná úvěrová banka (VUB), a member of the Italian Intesa Sanpaolo Group, has announced more news after concluding a long-term credit framework of CZK 7 billion with Prague Airport - the signing of an ESG addendum, which commits the most important airport in the Czech Republic to invest in sustainability, environmental aspects of operations or social projects.

"We have been setting up a detailed ESG strategy across the entire company all year long. This has successfully resulted in the signing of the ESG addendum. In addition, the airport can take advantage of its long-term active approach not only to sustainable development, but also to ecology or social issues, for example," says Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Board of Prague Airport.

"On behalf of VUB Bank, we are very pleased that beyond supporting Prague Airport as a major infrastructure player in the Czech Republic, the financing of the airport's development will have such ESG parameters. As a bank, we strongly support this strategy and we are pleased that more and more companies see it this way," adds Andrea Fiori, Director of VUB Bank Prague.
