Volkswagen Slovakia has recorded its first case of the novel coronavirus. According to the SITA news agency, the infected person was not part of the production team but the company has taken extensive preventive measures to ensure the infection hasn't spread. VW was also in contact with local hygieinic officials and has disinfected all areas that the infected person could have been in contact with. Production was never stopped at the facility, while people who were in direct contact with the person have been told to self-isolate. There have been just over 5,000 cases of Covid-19 in Slovakia since the beginning of the outbreak, however 3,356 of them are currently active, with 61 hospitalizations.
