The World Bank upgraded its growth forecast for Croatia to 2.9 percent for the year, citing solid domestic demand. However, a slowdown is expected to hit in the coming years as household consumption and investments decrease. There has also been a fall in foreign demand, according to the World Bank. Croatia’s GDP grew by 2.6 percent last year and is forecasted to grow by 2.7 percent in 2020, but decrease to 2,4 percent in 2021.
