WPS establishes northern facilities management hub at Corner Block, Manchester
Catella APAM has secured a letting at Corner Block in Manchester to WPS, part of the Wates Group, acting on behalf of Danish pension fund Britannia Invest A/S. WPS has agreed a five-year lease for 3,200 sq ft to serve as the company’s main hub for its Facilities Management operations in the north of England.
Corner Block, located at the junction of Deansgate and Quay Street, is a Grade A office development that combines heritage architecture with modern glazed façades. The property provides fitted space with features including VRF air conditioning, LED lighting, concierge services, showers, cycle storage, and complimentary reception Wi-Fi.
WPS will occupy a fully fitted suite designed to meet the requirements of occupiers seeking ready-to-use workspace in Manchester city centre. Catella APAM said the transaction reflects its strategy of delivering high-quality, flexible space to professional users, adding to the value of the building for investors.
Adam Handley, Asset Manager at Catella APAM, said WPS’s decision to locate its hub at Corner Block demonstrates the appeal of the building and aligns with the manager’s integrated asset and facilities management approach for Britannia Invest A/S.
Sixteen Real Estate advised the landlord, while Savills acted for WPS.
