XTPL has received a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a new type of ink used in the Ultra Precise Deposition (UPD) process, i.e. for a patent application entitled "Metallic nanoparticle composition," the company reported.

The obtained patent protection will increase the value of potential commercialization of the company's technology for industrial implementation. The described event confirms the company's realization of one of the elements of the company's strategy - building a patent cloud for the developed technology and products, which will be an element that builds the issuer's credibility with potential industrial customers, the company announced.

The patent application was filed on September 17, 2020, and the protection of the aforementioned technological solution is effective as of that date, it noted.

In addition, the company has 25 patent applications in its portfolio.

XTPL is developing and commercializing in the global market an additive technology enabling ultra-precise printing of nanomaterials. The technology will facilitate, among other things, the production of next-generation displays, smart glass with advanced functionalities, innovative anti-scratch protections or photovoltaic panels with increased efficiency. XTPL is currently commercializing its technology in the first two application fields: displays and smart glass. The company's shares debuted on the WSE's main market in February 2019.
