Romania’s National Credit Guarantee Fund has secured RON 1.98bn in funding for Prima Casa 2020, the government-backed home purchase program. Under the terms of the program, the government will guarantee half of the mortgage taken out by first-time homeowners. The banks participating in the program this year include BRD-GSG, BCR, Banca Transilvania, CEC Bank, ING Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, OTP Bank, Romanian Bank, Unicredit Bank, Garanti Bank, First Bank, Marfin Bank, Leumi Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank.
